The Abstract is a very brief summary of the article that must not exceed 120 words. Someone reading an abstract should be able to see at a glance what was studied, what was done, and the outcome. If is often difficult to compress the information, and there is no point in attempting to write the abstract before you write the paper. For guidance, read the abstracts found when you did the online search of the PsycINFO database.
The Abstract is printed on a separate page in the manuscript, single paragraph, no indent. It follows the Title page and precedes the Introduction - see sample report.
